How to set up Xtream Codes on iPhone

Xtream Codes is the login style most IPTV providers use: a server address, a username and a password, instead of a single long playlist link. Here is how to connect it and what you get.

Step by step

1. Collect your details. You need three things from your provider: the server address (often with a port, like http://example.com:8080), your username, and your password.
2. Add an Xtream playlist. In Zapline, create a profile, choose Add Playlist, then Xtream Codes.
3. Enter the server and credentials. Paste the server address exactly as given and type the username and password. Your credentials are saved in the device Keychain, never in plain text, and only ever sent to your provider's server.
4. Let it import. The app loads live channels, movies and series in one pass, and picks up the account's XMLTV guide automatically so the EPG fills in without extra setup.

What Xtream gives you that a plain M3U does not

• The guide comes automatically. The account's XMLTV feed is detected, so you do not have to find and paste a separate EPG URL.
• Movies and series arrive sorted. On-demand content is separated from live TV, with seasons and episodes grouped properly.
• Catch-up is detected. Zapline asks the server which channels keep an archive, so past programmes become playable straight from the guide.

Common sign-in problems

• Wrong port. The port is part of the server address and is easy to drop. http://example.com:8080 is not the same as http://example.com.
• http versus https. Many panels only answer on one of the two. If one fails, try the other.
• Extra spaces. Pasted credentials often carry a trailing space, which the server rejects.
• Account expired or maxed out. If everything looks right and the server still refuses, check the subscription status and how many devices are connected.
